Today Fifa announced the All-Star team, looking at the names that made the list, its quite clear that Spain dominated with excellent performances in South Africa.
2006 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team

1998 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team
Following the two semi-finals, FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG) has designated the MasterCard All-Star Team of the 1998 World Cup which includes 16 players. The choice of the TSG was based on a pre-selection of some 60 players made on 3 July.
1994 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team
Six players expected to take part in the World Cup final on Sunday, four from Brazil and two from Italy, were named today to the first-ever all-star team of the tournament.
The star strikers Romario and Roberto Baggio led the attack of the World Cup’s best 11 as selected by a panel of FIFA experts, including the former champions Pele and Bobby Charlton. They chose three defenders, instead of the customary four, and gave the team an extra attacking midfielder.
